I wonder what it was like that first day or so in Philippi?
The Apostle Paul was venturing into new territory, taking the gospel west. When he and his team arrived in Philippi, they met Lydia, a God-fearing business-women. God used her to help Paul start the church.
Many years later, he wrote a letter to them saying, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:3-6)
Not only was he thinking about Lydia, but I believe he was also thinking about two other Philippians that God touched: a young girl caught in human trafficking and a hard-working government employee.
That’s what I talk about in this video.
